GATS Numbers
04/24/18 - American Postal Workers Union As we have decried for years, we really need GATS numbers for your case files. An increased number of cases don't have GATS numbers on the Step 2 Appeal to Arbitration or the Step 3 Appeal. In a number of cases it is because the local has failed to go into EGS and modify the Step 2 grievance form. Double-check your denials to see if the GATS number is on there. |

How the Loss of Union Power Has Hurt American Manufacturing
04/23/18 - Teamsters local 570 April 23, 2018 | JOBS | Want to make America great again and keep factories in the United States? Try strengthening labor unions. That may seem counterintuitive, and certainly contrary to the direction the country has been moving in lately. |

Without the just cause provisions of a contract, we become subject to termination for any offense or circumstance – real or contrived. Too many pilots in a fleet? The surplus is terminated with no regard for seniority. Furlough and recall rights. |
